This zine is a map of one conversation in New Choi Yuen Village, Hong Kong - a settlement built anew when the original was demolished to make way for a high-speed railway.

This is a conversation reverberating across time and place, people, plants and land. What is home when our roots are dangling in the air? Through it all, Kapok Tree is our steadfast companion, a witness to our multi-species memories, experiences and imaginations.

This map is trilingual: in Cantonese and English of the humans, and in the plantscript inscribed by ink made with Kapok petals.
